* My Progress and Predictions – This tab contains several sub-tabs which gives the idea of how the logged in user has fared over time and the hardest question he/she faced. There’s also a tab specifically for quizzes offering multiple attempts to show the logged user a predictive analysis depending on other users’ attempts and best scores.

* Question Categories’ Analysis – This tab is dedicated to the categories/tags all the questions are associated with. The graphs here in the sub-tabs shows the question distribution among categories and an idea of how challenging the categories proved to be.

* Scores’ and Questions’ Stats – This tab contains two sub tabs, one showing the number of students in each grade category and the other providing a through analysis of all the questions present in the quiz.

How to allow students to choose a group themselves in Moodle Course? #MoodleTips - Moodle World | Moodle and Web 2.0 | Scoop.it
Have you ever thought of giving freedom of choosing the groups on their own to students in your Moodle course? This freedom can help in bringing out a good team work and collaboration among peers.

According to the Social Constructionism pedagogy – We learn particularly well from the act of creating or expressing something for others to see”. Moodle Groups allows you to create learning activities which encourages the students to work as a team to achieve a collaborative goal.

Creating a group in a Moodle course is a simple process for a teacher. However, the teacher has to either manually assign the users in the course or else they will added on a random basis. But what if you would like the students to choose their own peers in the groups?

Moodle Group choice activity plugin allows students to enrol themselves in a group within a course. It is based on the standard Choice activity in Moodle. As a teacher, you can configure the groups offered, and the most number of students allowed in each group.

Moodle Plugin StudentQuiz

Students like preparatory questions for exams. However, it’s hard to provide a large quantity of questions for all the self-assessments and exams. That’s why the University of Applied Sciences Rapperswil developed the Moodle plugin StudentQuiz. StudentQuiz enables students to collaboratively create their own question pools within Moodle. Even if an individual student contributes a few questions only, a large cohort can easily build up an extensive question pool.

How to easily export your Moodle site settings and configuration to other Moodle?

How to easily export your Moodle site settings and configuration to other Moodle? | Moodle and Web 2.0 | Scoop.it
Are you a Moodle administrator who used to manage multiple Moodle sites? You might have experienced the pain of configuring the same settings again and again on production, development and other instances of your Moodle site. Is there any way to simply copy and export all configuration settings from one Moodle instance to another? Answer to the question is yes.

Admin presets block is a Moodle plugin which allows you to simply export the site settings to .xml presets, import and load other sites presets. The plugin which was initially developed by David Monllaó, is now being maintained by Clément Prudhomme & Nikolaos Papoutsis. Recently, the Admin presets plugin was updated to a new version compatible with Moodle 3.3 version.

By using the admin presets block, you can export all the site settings into .xml files which can be later imported to other Moodle sites. It also provides rollback of applied changes and partial loading of presets which is a great feature for administrators.
