Education Technology is a field that is booming right now. In a world where children are exposed to massive amounts of technology from very young ages, learning from new technology just comes naturally. Teachers who utilize technology in conjunction with instruction create richer classroom environments. At the same time, online degree programs are becoming more and more prevalent. Any way we can bring in technology into the classroom to improve learning can only be a good thing. Take for instance Twitter and YouTube. Valueable lessons and strategies can be found using these sites which can only be beneficial for our students, if used wisely I must add.
I especially like the idea of tweeting as a character from history! Not only is it enjoyable, but it encourages the students to quite literally put themselves in their shoes and evaluate their decisions, trials and tribulations on a much more personal level.
