Twelve Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection ships were audited.
Lauri Wakefield's comment, September 29, 2013 2:11 PM
Uniworld is one of the companies that has taken the step to build vessels that have an eco-friendly impact on the waterways. There are some other river cruise lines that contribute in other ways, too. Tauck - though not just a river cruise company - is involved with 8 organizations that are not limited to sustainable tourism but also include philanthropic and humanitarium contributions.http://www.tauck.com/worldofgiving.aspx
Lauri Wakefield's comment, September 29, 2013 2:16 PM
Avalon Waterways is also following a sustainable tourism path and is now a STEP Eco-Certified Tour Operator. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page for this link, you can see the certification and an explanation. http://www.avalonwaterways.com/Affiliations/
Lauri Wakefield's comment, September 29, 2013 2:17 PM

Ashley Bratcher's comment, September 22, 2013 10:28 AM
I think that it is already user friendly to book a cruise. But technology will continue to advance us each day. To be a system designed to help agents book a cruise in under two minutes is great for more rates. They can take a call from a guest who wants a cruise and not have to have others on hold as long.

Wow This is soooooo awesome. we have such a great and big company starting this great idea of going green to better our planet. I think that carnival is being a great role model to the cruise line industry and I hope to see a lot more cruise lines go green as well.
Zoe Galanis's comment, September 14, 2016 4:20 PM
I am really excited to see that efforts are being made to expand environmentally friendly initiatives in the industry. Not only do I think that these new ships will be great for Carnival and the cruise industry, but also for the ships's passengers. I hope that this ship's green initiatives will remind and encourage passengers on board to act in ways that are environmentally responsible.
Michelle Concilio's comment, September 18, 2016 10:35 PM
Happy to see that Carnival is taking on the efforts to charter a eco friendly ship. These efforts are what will take cruise lines a long way, and the environment as a whole as well. Every small step matters.

Christian Sanchez's comment October 3, 2013 9:20 PM
I am amazed wiith the features that some of these cruise ships have. These add a whole new dimension to cruising. The day when cruising was just about sitting around the pool, dining, and bingo games, are history. These ships are amazing - they are turning into amusement parks at sea.
Kiah Wynter's comment, October 6, 2013 6:08 PM
The cruise industry is just fascinating! Imagine a large vessel, sailing the beautiful ocean, with a list of fun and entertaining activities and amenities to enjoy during your vacation. It is just like having your own world at sea. It is a great idea for these cruise lines to offer such amazing features on their ships for all guests to enjoy. After all, to vacation on a cruise is all about the memorable experience.
