He mentioned MergeWeb.com, his company, figured out how to put social shares directly in an email. I've Tweeted for more on this as it sounds cool. Matt admitted they are still testing, but the ability to fire social shares without consumption of the content behind the link sounds cool.

Thoughts this slideshare was well done. I like the idea of social as only as good as the fit for your audience. I think this is true and points to the need for persona and segmentation work.
